Embedding a Datawrapper visualization

If you haven’t used it yet, Datawrapper lets you focus on getting the data, it takes care of the visualization. It took be 5 hours to get the data together for the visualization below, and about 5 minutes to graph it 🙂

The steps are:

Step 1: Get your data – it can be in a CSV or even (as I did) still have it open in Excel.

Step 2: Open Datawrapper and login (after registering of course)

Step 3: Upload your data (I simply copied and pasted three columns of data (including header rows) from my excel worksheet.

Step 7: On your wordpress blog (assuming it allows iFrames), copy the text, switch to “Text”, paste in your IFrame adjusting the width as needed.

Step 8: Publish and look at your visualisation.

You can also just tweet around the provided datawrapper link, they host your visualization.
